Working closely with Rod's Lighting Director, Mark Payne, over a few weeks I created visuals for half a dozen songs with help from Gareth Blayney.
Boat wakes and vapour trails - an exploration into what boats and planes leave behind - for drifty ballad Sailing. High energy, vibrant 70s disco/soul/funk montages for Do Ya think I'm Sexy. Celtic patterns and scrolls for the fiddly Love Is - with the Gaelic colours taken from the video and lots of violins to reflect those onstage. Stained glass interiors transitioning to heavenly bodies and constellations for Angel, and a photo retrospective for Maggie May. |
